About the role

What You'll Do in This Position

The hourly base rate of pay for this internship starts at $18.00, and may increase based on major and class standing.

The Summer Facility Support Systems Intern will perform duties of a highly responsible and complex nature requiring excellent communication and data implementation skills, the ability to multi-task, be well organized, reliable, professional, work as a team with others, and possess good critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Providing hardware and software field support
• Preparing electronic rounds for migration
• Supporting software retirement efforts
• Supporting electronic inspection development
• Providing peer checks of team’s work
• Scheduling and conducting walkdowns to support new customer software onboarding.

Qualifications We Require

Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.

Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university, or within one year after finishing a degree program.

Must have completed freshman year of college.

Must successfully complete Savannah River Site General Employee Training and substance abuse processing.

Other Qualifications

Unofficial transcripts are required and must be uploaded into BrassRing before the job posting closes.

Qualifications We Desire

• Proficient basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Data Entry
• Ability to provide administrative and data support to the Facility Support Systems team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others in person and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and drive assignments to completion.
