Role: Lead Software Engineer – SAP TM
Location: Chennai
Experience: 7–10 Years
Role Overview
As a Lead Software Engineer – SAP TM, you will act as a functional expert and delivery leader, driving end-to-end SAP TM implementations while mentoring teams and enabling logistics transformation at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design, configuration & deployment of SAP TM solutions
Drive blueprinting, testing, training & go-live support
Translate business requirements into functional specs & TM configurations
Ensure seamless integration with SD, MM, EWM
Manage SIT, UAT, regression testing & defect resolution
Act as SME for SAP TM and support critical issue resolution
Mentor teams and ensure high-quality delivery standards
Key Requirements
7–10 years of experience in SAP Transportation Management (TM)
2–3 years of team leadership / mentoring experience
Strong expertise in:
Freight Order Management
Transportation Planning
Freight Settlement
Charge Management
Experience in end-to-end SAP TM implementations
Strong knowledge of integration with S/4HANA / ECC (SD, MM, EWM)
Familiarity with BOPF, PPF, BRF+, and FPM frameworks
Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models
Good to Have
Performance tuning & freight optimization experience
Exposure to third-party logistics integrations & carrier APIs
Knowledge of analytics & SAP Fiori reporting
SAP TM certification
