Role Description The SAP TM Solution Architect is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing and delivering SAP Transportation Management solutions that support complex supply chain operations. Day-to-day tasks include leading solution architecture design, mapping business processes to SAP TM capabilities, and configuring and integrating SAP TM with other SAP modules and external systems. The role involves collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, create functional and technical specifications, and ensure that solutions align with strategic supply chain objectives. The SAP TM Solution Architect will provide consulting guidance, support project teams through all phases of implementation, conduct system testing, and oversee knowledge transfer and documentation. The role also includes troubleshooting issues, recommending continuous improvements, and staying current with SAP TM and SAP Digital Supply Chain innovations.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Business Process analysis and design, with the ability to translate complex logistics and transportation requirements into SAP TM solutions.
- Proficiency in Solution Architecture, including end-to-end SAP Digital Supply Chain design, integration patterns, and best practices for scalable implementations.
- Consulting skills, including stakeholder management, requirement gathering, workshops facilitation, and delivering clear recommendations to business and technical teams.
- Working knowledge of related SAP modules such as SAP FICO and SAP Basis to ensure proper integration, performance, and system reliability.
- Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SAP TM in medium to large-scale projects, preferably in global or multi-site environments.
- Understanding of transportation planning, freight execution, carrier collaboration, and logistics cost optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced certifications in SAP TM or SAP Supply Chain are a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in remote, distributed teams, with strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
