About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP Team Lead / SAP Business Process Lead / O2C / P2P to take ownership of SAP-related processes across logistics, purchasing, order management, and manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on SAP expertise with proven leadership experience and a practical understanding of cross-functional business processes. You will work closely with different departments, drive process improvements, manage SAP-related responsibilities, and ensure knowledge is effectively transferred across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate SAP-related activities across logistics, purchasing, order management, and production
- Support and optimize SAP processes within SD, MM, and PP
- Manage cross-functional SAP projects and process-improvement initiatives
- Acts as a bridge between the European and Indian teams, translating the German team’s requirements into English and clearly communicating them to the Indian team through regular meetings and discussions.
- Take responsibility for department-level SAP activities and coordinate team members where required
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions
- Create, maintain, and improve SAP reports and business documentation
- Use SAP reporting and advanced Excel capabilities to analyze data and support business decisions
- Identify process gaps and proactively recommend improvements
- Ensure consistent SAP processes and effective knowledge sharing across teams
- Quickly learn company-specific SAP processes and independently take ownership of new responsibilities
- Train and support colleagues and transfer SAP knowledge effectively to other team members
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of strong SAP experience, ideally in logistics, purchasing, order management, or related business processes
- Hands-on experience with SAP SD, MM, and PP
- Proven experience working on cross-functional SAP projects
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage people and take responsibility for department-level activities
- Strong understanding of business processes within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in plastics manufacturing or a similar production environment is highly desirable
- Excellent Excel skills and solid experience working with SAP reports and data
- Native or bilingual English proficiency
- German communication skills are Mandatory
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and confident approach to work
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with different departments
- Strong ability to learn company-specific SAP processes quickly and transfer knowledge to others
