Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Finance SAP Accountant to manage the end-to-end financial reporting processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the general ledger, performing complex reconciliations, and driving the month-end closing process within our SAP environment. You will also be involved in managing the Master data activities as part of the overall governance process within the business and providing support to processes including AP & AR. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between technical SAP proficiency and core accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Period-End Closing & Reporting
- Execute Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End closing activities in SAP S/4HANA or ECC.
- Prepare and post manual journal entries (accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transfers).
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards.
- Generate and analyze financial statements, including Balance Sheets and P&L reports.
- General Ledger & Reconciliation
- Maintain the General Ledger (GL) and ensure the accuracy of the Chart of Accounts.
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet substantiations.
- Manage Intercompany (ICO) reconciliations, ensuring all mismatches are investigated and resolved.
- Oversee Fixed Asset accounting, including depreciation runs and capitalizations within the SAP AA module.
- SAP Process Optimization
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the R2R workstream, identifying opportunities for automation or process improvement.
- Assist in SAP system enhancements, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and troubleshooting interface errors between SAP and peripheral systems.
- Master Data Management &
- Support internal and external audit requirements by providing necessary documentation and SAP reports.
- Ensure adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) controls and internal financial policies.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification is highly preferred but not mandatory.
SAP Proficiency
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in
SAP FI (Financial Accounting) modules: GL, AP, AR, and AA. Experience in AP & AR within SAP an advantage as well as Master Data Management
Experience
Proven track record in R2R, General Ledger, or Financial Reporting in a mid-to-large corporate environment.
Excel Skills
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Macros) for data manipulation and reporting.
Soft Skills:
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to spot trends and anomalies within large datasets.
- Communication: Capable of explaining complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Time Management: Highly organized with the ability to meet strict monthly deadlines
