Position: SAP SD Consultant

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site SAP SD Consultant role based in Chennai. The SAP SD Consultant will work with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, design and configure SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) modules, and support end-to-end business processes. Responsibilities include gathering and documenting business needs, mapping them to SAP SD solutions, configuring sales order processing, pricing, billing, and delivery processes, and supporting integration with related modules. The role involves preparing functional specifications, coordinating with technical teams, performing unit and integration testing, and supporting user acceptance testing. The consultant will also provide ongoing production support, troubleshoot issues, train end users, and contribute to continuous process improvements and enhancements.
Profile Requirements
- Strong understanding of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) processes, including Sales & Distribution configuration and Sales order-to-cash cycles.
- Proficiency in analyzing and optimizing Business Process workflows related to sales, billing, and logistics.
- Solid Analytical Skills to translate business requirements into functional designs and to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Experience in Consulting, including stakeholder management, requirement gathering, and delivering solution recommendations.
- Knowledge of core Sales concepts and practices, preferably in domains supported by SAP SD.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with at least one full-cycle SAP SD implementation or significant support/enhancement projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with integration of SAP SD with MM, FI/CO, and other related modules is an advantage.
- Professional certifications in SAP SD or related areas are a plus.
