Job Title : SAP S/4HANA Functional Process Data Expert (with Kinaxis experience)
Assignment Type : 12 months with possible extension
Work Model: Remote
Position Overview
implementing a global SAP S/4HANA system and needs experienced Functional Process Data Experts to support the program.
The role focuses on data readiness, migration, and governance to ensure business data is standardized and ready for the new system.
You will work closely with business teams, SAP functional teams, and data teams to make sure data supports business processes and system implementation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data & Solution Design
Work with business teams to define data requirements for business processes.
Convert business process designs into SAP master and transactional data structures.
Ensure consistent data models, attributes, and hierarchies across regions.
Validate that data supports end-to-end processes like:
Plan
Source
Make
Deliver
Return
2. Data Ownership
Define data objects and required attributes.
Establish data validation rules and business logic.
Align data structures with SAP best practices.
3. Data Migration & Readiness
Support data cleansing, enrichment, and harmonization.
Define mapping rules from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA.
Participate in:
Mock data conversions
Data loads
Data validation and reconciliation
Ensure data meets quality standards before go-live.
4. Data Governance
Help define global data standards and policies.
Work with Master Data Governance teams.
Support definition of data ownership and stewardship.
Monitor and improve data quality.
5. Testing & Go-Live Support
Support functional and integration testing with focus on data accuracy.
Validate business scenarios using migrated data.
Assist with cutover and go-live activities.
Provide post go-live support (hypercare).
Required Experience
5+ years SAP functional experience with strong focus on data.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations (Greenfield preferred).
Experience in large global ERP implementation programs.
Knowledge of business process value streams.
Experience in data migration and validation activities.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of SAP master data such as:
Material Master
Vendor / Business Partner
Customer
BOM
Routings
Pricing
Understanding of S/4HANA data model vs ECC.
Experience with Master Data Governance tools (preferred).
Familiar with data migration tools like:
SAP Migration Cockpit
ETL tools
Mandatory Requirement
Hands-on experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse (supply chain planning platform)
Soft Skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management.
Ability to work with global cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in large transformation programs.
Preferred Background
Experience in manufacturing or asset-intensive industries.
Experience as Data Lead / Data Domain Lead.
Experience creating global templates and standardized data models.
Knowledge of data quality tools and metrics.
