Role:
The SAP Master Data & Data Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the organization has access to accurate, consistent, and high-quality data to support effective business decision-making. The role focuses on monitoring, validating, and improving data quality across enterprise systems.
Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
● Strong experience in data validation, cleansing, and quality assessment for
master and transactional data.
● Hands-on experience with data governance and data quality tools such as:
○ SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)
○ SAP Data Intelligence
○ Informatica
● Experience with data profiling and metadata management tools.
● Exposure to cloud data platforms like Databricks and Azure Data Lake.
● Understanding of data lineage and metadata concepts.
● Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA, DCAM).
● Proficiency in SQL / NoSQL for data analysis.
● Functional domain knowledge (e.g., Customer, Manufacturing, Finance).
● Experience working with SAP modules such as SAP MM and SAP FICO.
● Ability to design and execute data validation checklists.
● Certifications like CDMP are a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
● Define, implement, and maintain data quality rules aligned with enterprise data governance standards.
● Monitor data quality metrics and develop dashboards/scorecards to track performance.
● Perform data profiling, validation, and analysis to identify inconsistencies and anomalies.
● Manage the lifecycle of data quality issues, including root cause analysis and remediation tracking.
● Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and technical teams to resolve data-related issues.
● Implement and monitor automated data quality controls in data pipelines.
● Maintain metadata and data quality rules within data catalog and governance tools.
● Promote and advocate data governance and quality best practices across the organization.
