We are looking for a motivated and skilled SAP QM Consultant to join a global project team delivering a multi-year SAP S/4HANA transformation program for a reputed international client.
This is a fully remote, freelance opportunity, ideal for consultants who want to work on large-scale quality management transformations, ensure process excellence, and contribute to high-impact global delivery.
🔹 Role: SAP QM Consultant
🔹 Type: Freelance (Independent Consultant)
🔹 Location: 100% Remote (Work from anywhere)
🔹 Duration: Multi-year engagement (Initial contract of 12 months, with strong extension potential)
🔹 Start Date: Immediate or within the next few weeks
Responsibilities
- Configure and implement core SAP QM (Quality Management) processes including:
- Quality Planning (Inspection Plans, Master Data)
- Quality Inspection (Incoming, In-Process, Final Inspection)
- Quality Notifications & Defect Management
- Audit Management and Compliance Processes
- Collaborate with business and quality teams to gather and document requirements
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and system configurations
- Design and optimize Quality Management processes across procurement and production cycles
- Support testing cycles (Unit Testing, Integration Testing, UAT) and resolve functional issues
- Coordinate with technical teams for enhancements, reports, and custom developments
- Work on cross-module integration with MM, PP, SD, and other logistics modules
- Assist with data migration, cutover activities, and post-go-live support
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP QM Consultant
- Strong understanding of quality management processes in manufacturing and supply chain environments
- Experience in at least one end-to-end implementation, rollout, or support project
- Ability to work independently in a remote, global delivery environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with international stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA QM
- Experience with quality notifications, audit management, and compliance processes
- Familiarity with integrations across MM (Procurement), PP (Production), and SD (Sales)
- Industry experience in Manufacturing, Pharma, FMCG, or Life Sciences
- Exposure to regulatory standards (ISO, GMP) and quality reporting tools is a plus
