Job Title: SAP - Project Manager
About The Role
As the SAP Project Manager, you will lead the functional execution and vendor delivery for Purplle’s SAP ecosystem. Reporting to the SAP Lead, you will bridge the gap between business operations and technical execution. Your primary focus will be managing a multi-vendor team of consultants to ensure that SAP solutions are optimized, integrated, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities
- Tactical Project Oversight: Lead SAP-related projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for the "On Time, On Scope, On Budget" delivery of all logistics-related enhancements
- Logistics Module Management: Oversee the configuration and optimization of SAP. Ensure that retail-specific business are optimized for S/4HANA.
- Stakeholder Interfacing: Act as the primary bridge between Department Heads (Warehouse, Supply Chain, Sales) and the technical team. Translate business requirements into high-quality Functional Specifications (FS).
- Vendor Accountability: Manage relationships with third-party service providers. You will be the first line of defence in ensuring quality support, technical accuracy, and adherence to SLAs from our SAP partners.
- Integration & Compliance: Ensure seamless integration between Logistics and Finance. You will assist in yearly IT audits by maintaining rigorous documentation and process compliance within the landscape.
- Technical Quality Control: Implement and oversee a review process for Technical Specifications (TS). You will be responsible for "scoring" consultant output to ensure system stability and performance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: At least 6 years in SAP, with a strong background in the Retail or FMCG industry.
- Functional Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP MM and SD (S/4HANA experience is mandatory) is highly preferred.
- Operational PM Skills: Proven track record of managing multi-vendor teams. Familiarity with modern project management tools (Jira, Confluence) is essential.
- Integration Knowledge: A strong understanding of the touchpoints between Logistics (MM/SD) and Finance (FICO)
- Licensing Awareness: Basic understanding of SAP RISE concepts (FUE counts, Enterprise agreements) to assist in resource and license optimization.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to push back on vendors while providing clear, concise updates to Senior Management.
