The SAP Pre-Sales & Practice Lead is responsible for driving solution strategy, leading pre-sales engagements, and building a high-performing SAP practice. This role blends deep SAP expertise with strong business acumen, customer engagement skills, and the ability to shape end‑to‑end digital transformation journeys. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands‑on leader who can influence clients, mentor teams, and support revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre‑Sales Leadership:
- Lead SAP pre‑sales activities, including discovery sessions, solution design, demos, PoCs, and RFP/RFI responses.
- Translate business requirements into compelling SAP solution architectures across modules (e.g., S/4HANA, BTP, Analytics, SuccessFactors, Ariba).
- Collaborate with sales teams to craft winning proposals and value propositions.
- Present SAP solutions to C‑level executives, highlighting business value, ROI, and transformation roadmaps.
Practice Management:
- Build and scale the SAP practice, including capability development, hiring, and competency planning.
- Define delivery methodologies, best practices, accelerators, and reusable assets.
- Mentor consultants and architects, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Oversee solution governance, quality assurance, and delivery readiness.
- Partner with SAP and ecosystem partners to strengthen alliances and co‑innovation opportunities.
Solution Strategy & Thought Leadership:
- Develop SAP solution offerings, industry templates, and go‑to‑market strategies.
- Stay current with SAP roadmap, innovations, and market trends (e.g., RISE with SAP, BTP, AI/ML, sustainability).
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of SAP experience with a strong functional or technical background.
- Proven track record in SAP pre‑sales, solution architecture, or practice leadership.
- Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA and related cloud solutions.
- Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills.
- Experience in proposal writing, deal shaping, and commercial models.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple pursuits simultaneously.
- Consulting background preferred.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- SAP certifications (S/4HANA, BTP, or relevant modules) preferred.
