Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP PP (Production Planning) Consultant with strong IDoc expertise to support, configure, and enhance SAP production processes in a global environment. The consultant will work on integration scenarios, production planning, and data exchange between SAP and external systems using IDocs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and support SAP PP module (including Master Data, MRP, BOM, Routing, Work Centers, and Production Orders).
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot IDoc interfaces for production-related data (e.g., order confirmations, goods movements, production orders).
- Collaborate with ABAP/PI/PO teams for integration, mapping, and error handling of IDocs.
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve production planning and IDoc-related issues in support or implementation projects.
- Participate in requirement gathering, functional design, testing (SIT/UAT), and cutover activities.
- Create functional documentation and support end-user training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with business processes, SAP best practices, and data integrity standards.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong experience in SAP PP configuration and support, including MRP, BOM, Routing, and Work Centers.
- Hands-on experience with IDoc creation, monitoring, and error handling.
- Knowledge of ALE/EDI integration and interfacing SAP with external systems.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or ECC environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in global projects or cross-functional teams is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior exposure to production support (AMS) and implementation projects.
- Experience in Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or Logistics domains is advantageous.
