Job Title: SAP MM Functional Analyst (e-Procurement & API/iDoc Integration)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Analyst with 8+ years of hands-on expertise to design, implement, and support enterprise procurement solutions. The ideal candidate will act as the functional subject matter expert for SAP Materials Management (MM) with a strong focus on integrating SAP with modern third-party e-Procurement platforms such as Coupa, Ariba, or Zycus (with a strong preference for Coupa).
This role requires a candidate who bridges functional procurement processes with technical integration architectures, leveraging APIs, IDocs, and middleware to ensure seamless end-to-end data flow across global systems.
Key Responsibilities
•
Functional Leadership in SAP MM: Lead business requirements gathering, process design, configuration, and support across core SAP MM modules, including Purchasing, Inventory Management, Master Data (Material/Vendor/Info Records), Invoice Verification, and Valuation.
•
e-Procurement System Integration: Design and maintain robust functional integrations between SAP MM and third-party e-Procurement suites—specifically Coupa (preferred), Ariba, or Zycus.
•
Interface & Data Exchange: Work closely with technical/integration teams to define, map, and troubleshoot interfaces using APIs (REST/SOAP), IDocs, ALE/EDI, and middleware components.
•
Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Optimization: Streamline end-to-end P2P workflows, including requisitioning, purchase order distribution, goods receipts, and automated invoice processing across integrated environments.
•
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve interface failures, IDoc errors, API payloads issues, and functional system defects in production environments.
•
Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration: Coordinate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, third-party software vendors, and cross-functional teams (FICO, SD, ABAP, Basis) to deliver business enhancements.

Testing & Documentation: Author comprehensive Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), mapping sheets, test scripts, and operational runbooks. Lead Integration Testing (IT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing.
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
•
Experience: Minimum 8+ years of core functional experience in SAP MM implementation and support projects.
•
e-Procurement Platform Expertise: Proven hands-on experience integrating SAP MM with e-Procurement platforms (Coupa experience is highly preferred; Ariba or Zycus is acceptable).
•
Technical Integration Concepts: Strong functional understanding of integration technologies, including:

IDocs / ALE / EDI: IDoc monitoring, error handling, status codes, and message type mapping (e.g., ORDERS, ORDCHG, DESADV, INVOIC).
◦
APIs: Fundamental understanding of RESTful/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML payloads, and web service integrations for real-time data sync.
•
Procurement Process Mastery: Deep expertise in Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), Master Data Management, Goods Receipts (GR), Service Entry Sheets (SES), and Invoice Verification (LIV).
•
Cross-Module Knowledge: Solid understanding of SAP MM integration points with SAP FI/CO (account determination, invoice matching) and SAP SD.
•
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
