We are looking for a motivated and skilled SAP MM Consultant to join a global project team delivering a multi-year SAP S/4HANA transformation program for a reputed international client.

This is a fully remote, freelance opportunity, ideal for consultants who want to work on large-scale procurement and supply chain transformations, deepen their functional expertise, and contribute to real-world global delivery.

🔹 Role: SAP MM Consultant

🔹 Type: Freelance (Independent Consultant)

🔹 Location: 100% Remote (Work from anywhere)

🔹 Duration: Multi-year engagement (Initial contract of 12 months, with strong extension potential)

🔹 Start Date: Immediate or within the next few weeks

Responsibilities

• Configure and implement core SAP MM (Materials Management) processes including:
• Procurement (Procure-to-Pay)
• Purchase Requisitions & Purchase Orders
• Inventory Management
• Invoice Verification
• Vendor Master Data Management
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and system configurations
• Design and optimize Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes aligned with business objectives
• Support testing cycles (Unit Testing, Integration Testing, UAT) and resolve functional issues
• Coordinate with technical teams for enhancements, reports, and custom developments
• Work on cross-module integration with FI, SD, and other logistics modules
• Assist with data migration, cutover planning, and post-go-live support
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP MM Consultant
• Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and inventory management processes
• Experience in at least one end-to-end implementation, rollout, or support project
• Ability to work independently in a remote, global delivery environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with international teams
  

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA MM
• Experience with inventory optimization, valuation, and batch management
• Familiarity with integrations across FI (Finance), SD (Sales), and Warehouse/Logistics modules
• Industry exposure in Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail, or Pharma
• Experience with IDocs, interfaces, or data migration tools is a plus
