Role: SAP FICO Consultant
Required Experience: 5+ Years
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in SAP ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA Finance implementations and support projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong functional knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules, experience in end-to-end implementation, system configuration, business process analysis, integration with other SAP modules, and client-facing communication skills.
The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional consultants to design, configure, test, and support SAP financial solutions aligned with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
System Configuration
- Configure and customize SAP FI/CO modules based on business requirements and organizational processes.
- Implement solutions across Financial Accounting and Controlling modules within SAP ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA Finance environments.
- Support configuration activities related to GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis.
Business Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Map business requirements to SAP solutions and perform fit-gap analysis.
- Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams for developments and enhancements.
Process Improvement
- Analyze existing financial and controlling processes and recommend improvements using SAP best practices.
- Support optimization of key business cycles including:
- Procure to Pay (P2P)
- Order to Cash (O2C)
- Record to Report (R2R)
- Month-End and Year-End Closing Processes
Testing and Validation
- Perform unit testing and integration testing for configured solutions.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and defect resolution.
- Ensure system functionality aligns with business expectations and compliance requirements.
Support and Maintenance
- Provide first-level and second-level support for SAP FICO related issues.
- Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
- Conduct end-user training sessions and provide post-go-live support.
Documentation
- Create and maintain:
- Functional design documents
- Configuration documents
- Process flow diagrams
- User manuals
- Testing documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as an SAP FICO Consultant.
- Experience in at least one end-to-end SAP implementation project.
- SAP certification in FI/CO or S/4HANA Finance is preferred.
