An SAP FICO Consultant with Product Costing (CO-PC) expertise configures and manages
complex cost flows in manufacturing environments. They design solutions for standard
cost estimates, overhead allocation, variance analysis, and Material Ledger, ensuring
accurate inventory valuation and seamless integration with the logistics and supply
chain modules.
Core Responsibilities
Product Cost Planning: Configure costing variants, valuation variants,
cost component structures, and overhead sheets to calculate standard costs for manufactured
products.Cost Object Controlling (COC): Set up cost object hierarchies, define WIP (Work in Process)
calculation, manage variance analysis (target vs. actual costs), and execute order settlements.
Material Ledger (ML): Support Material Ledger and Actual Costing for parallel currencies, multiple valuations, and precise inventory valuation. Cross-Module Integration: Collaborate closely with PP (Production Planning), MM (Materials Management), and SD (Sales and Distribution) teams to integrate BOMs, routings, and material movements. Period-End Closing: Execute month-end or year-end closing activities, release cost estimates, and settle manufacturing orders to FI.
Financial Accounting (FI): Support core FI functions—General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting (AA)—and resolve FI-CO integration gaps
Essential QualificationsExperience: Typically 3 to 10+ years of domain and implementation experience in SAP Management Accounting (CO) with a strong focus on CO-PC.Platform Knowledge: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, Fiori Apps, and the Universal Journal (ACDOCA).Business Scenarios: Understanding of specialized manufacturing environments like Make-to-Order (MTO), Make-to-Stock (MTS), and Configure-to-Order.Technical Competency: Ability to gather requirements,
- prepare blueprint documentation, and write Functional Specifications (FS) for RICEFW objects.
