Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant with 6–8 years of expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling. The ideal candidate will have strong functional knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules, hands-on configuration experience, and the ability to support complex finance processes across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. The role involves providing functional support, implementing enhancements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless financial operations within a global AMS/Managed Services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Process Support
● Provide functional support and maintenance for SAP FICO processes across multiple countries and business entities.
● Analyze business requirements and recommend efficient SAP solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
● Support critical month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities.
● Ensure stability and continuous improvement of financial business processes.
Configuration & Enhancements
● Configure and maintain SAP FI and CO modules based on business requirements.
● Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP development teams for custom enhancements.
● Coordinate testing activities, validate enhancements, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). ● Ensure successful deployment of approved changes and enhancements.
Incident & Change Management
● Resolve production incidents, service requests, and defects within agreed SLA timelines.
● Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement preventive solutions.
● Support change requests, release management, and deployment activities.
● Participate in major incident resolution and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
● Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, Business Process Owners, Key Users, and technical teams. ● Conduct workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
● Translate business requirements into scalable SAP FICO solutions.
● Provide regular project updates, effort estimates, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
Compliance & Governance
● Ensure compliance with financial controls, audit requirements, and corporate governance standards.
● Support internal and external audit activities.
● Maintain functional documentation and process knowledge repositories.
● Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
Required Skills & Experience
● 6–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP FI and CO configuration, implementation, and support. ● Strong expertise in:
○ General Ledger (GL)
○ Accounts Payable (AP)
○ Accounts Receivable (AR)
○ Asset Accounting
○ Bank Accounting
○ Cost Center Accounting
○ Profit Center Accounting
○ Internal Orders
○ Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
Functional Expertise
● End-to-end business process analysis and requirement gathering.
● Solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
● Strong experience working with SAP ECC and exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance.
● Thorough understanding of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes.
