Role Description This is a full-time, on-site SAP Fico Data Migration Consultant role based in Bengaluru South. The consultant will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing data migration activities for SAP FICO modules, including data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with finance and IT stakeholders to understand business requirements, defining migration strategies, configuring relevant SAP FICO settings, and preparing test cases and scripts for migration cycles. The role involves supporting mock runs, resolving data-related issues, ensuring data integrity and compliance, and documenting processes and outcomes. The consultant will also provide post-migration support, troubleshoot functional and technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of data migration tools and methods.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in SAP FICO (including core finance and controlling processes), with hands-on experience in data migration projects.
- Proficiency in data mapping, data cleansing, data validation, and reconciliation techniques within SAP and related source systems.
- Experience with migration tools and methodologies (such as SAP Data Services, LSMW, BAPIs, or similar ETL solutions).
- Solid understanding of financial accounting, reporting, and compliance requirements to align migration activities with business needs.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical migration specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and data quality.
- Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders, explain migration outcomes, and provide user support during and after cutover.
- Relevant academic background in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field; professional certifications in SAP FICO or data migration are an advantage.
- Prior experience in large-scale SAP implementations or rollouts, especially in on-site client environments, is highly beneficial.
