About The Role
Position Overview
The SAP Senior Analyst - Accounting and Finance is responsible for supporting and improving SAP S/4HANA Finance capabilities across the enterprise, with primary ownership of finance and accounting processes and their integration to external financial systems (including OneStream and Adaptive Planning). This role partners with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and IT stakeholders to analyze requirements, design and configure solutions, and ensure stable day-to-day operations of the production environment. The position also contributes to solution architecture and delivery for new SAP implementations and enhancements as business needs arise, working in a matrixed, global environment that supports the U.S. and other entities.
Core Skills
- SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO): General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, banking/cash management, period-end close, and core controlling processes.
- S/4HANA Finance architecture concepts, including Universal Journal, parallel ledgers, and document splitting (as applicable to multi-entity/global reporting).
- Payments and banking: Automatic Payment Program (F110) concepts, bank accounting/cash management, and banking interface support and reconciliation.
- Interfaces and integration patterns with external financial planning and consolidation platforms (including OneStream and Adaptive Planning) and related reconciliation/data-quality controls.
- SAP Fiori launchpad and modern SAP user experience (UI5), including adoption of new Fiori-delivered finance innovations and embedded analytics where applicable.
- Global, matrixed support model experience (supporting U.S. and international entities across time zones); strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desired Skills
- Experience in regulated/controlled industries (e.g., medical device) with understanding of compliance, audit readiness, and validation considerations.
- Exposure to SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts and SOX segregation of duties (SoD) practices, including access control design, role governance, and audit evidence support.
- Experience delivering projects using SAP Activate methodology (fit-to-standard workshops, backlog management, and structured testing/cutover approaches).
- Integration tooling exposure (e.g., IDoc/ALE/EDI, SAP APIs/OData services, SAP Integration Suite (CPI) or SAP PI/PO).
- Data migration exposure using S/4HANA Data Migration Cockpit / LTMC (and/or LSMW/BAPI-based approaches), including reconciliation/validation support.
- Exposure to SAP Business AI capabilities (including Joule) and interest in adopting modern SAP innovations relevant to SD.
Responsibilities
- Lead SAP S/4HANA Finance Support & Solution Delivery
- Own and support SAP S/4HANA Finance and Accounting processes by partnering with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and IT teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver fit-to-standard FI/CO enhancements.
- Manage Finance Integrations & Reporting Architecture
- Support and improve integrations between SAP and external finance systems such as OneStream and Adaptive Planning, while applying key S/4HANA Finance concepts like Universal Journal, parallel ledgers, and document splitting to enable accurate and scalable global reporting.
- Support Banking, Payments & Operational Stability
- Provide support for payments, bank accounting, cash management, and Automatic Payment Program (F110) processes, ensuring accurate reconciliation, interface monitoring, troubleshooting, and stable day-to-day operations using ITIL-based support practices.
- Drive Testing, Documentation & Process Standardization
- Develop and enhance test automation, regression testing, and repeatable test scripts, while maintaining high-quality documentation including process flows, functional specifications, training materials, and support procedures.
- Collaborate on End-to-End Solution Delivery & Compliance
- Work closely with ABAP, Integration, Basis, Security, and Data teams to deliver reports, interfaces, enhancements, and monitoring capabilities, while ensuring solutions align with audit, controls, SOX/ITGC, and data governance requirements.
- Enable Adoption, Governance & Team Capability
- Promote the use of SAP Fiori and emerging SAP finance innovations, contribute to SAP Joule enablement where applicable, and provide coaching, knowledge transfer, and design review support to peers, junior analysts, and global delivery teams.

Required Qualifications
- Title: AP Senior Analyst - Accounting and Finance
- Experience: Candidates should have 7+ of experience with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) in a production support and enhancement environment.
- Qualification: Applicants may hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Participation in at least two SAP implementations (greenfield, rollout, ECC-to-S/4 transformation, or major program), with hands-on involvement across design, testing, and go-live phases.
- Strong functional knowledge across core finance and accounting processes (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, banking/cash, period-end close) and integration points to SD/MM and controlling.
- Working knowledge of S/4HANA Finance concepts such as Universal Journal, parallel ledgers, and document splitting (as applicable).
- Experience supporting payments and banking processes including exposure to Automatic Payment Program (F110) and banking interface troubleshooting/reconciliation.
- Experience designing/supporting interfaces and reconciliations with external finance systems (planning and consolidation), including OneStream and/or Adaptive Planning preferred.
- Experience with modern SAP S/4HANA capabilities including SAP Fiori and awareness/exposure to SAP Joule capabilities in an S/4HANA landscape.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional designs and drive testing (SIT/UAT) and go-live readiness in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed, global environment supporting U.S. and international stakeholders across time zones; strong communication skills in English.
- Experience in regulated/controlled industries (e.g., medical devices, pharma, aerospace) and familiarity with audit, controls, and compliance expectations (including SOX/ITGC-style controls) is preferred.
