Role Overview
An SAP EWM Functional Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting warehouse management solutions using SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to optimize warehouse operations and ensure seamless system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements related to warehouse operations and translate them into SAP EWM solutions
- Configure and customize SAP EWM processes such as:
- Inbound and outbound processes
- Putaway and picking strategies
- Warehouse structure (storage types, bins, sections)
- Integrate SAP EWM with other SAP modules like:
- SAP ERP (MM, SD)
- SAP S/4HANA
- Handle RF framework, barcode scanning, and automation integration
- Work on warehouse monitoring, labor management, and slotting
- Support testing activities (Unit Testing, UAT) and prepare documentation
- Provide post-go-live support and resolve production issues
- Collaborate with technical teams for enhancements (ABAP developments)
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP EWM configuration
- Knowledge of warehouse processes (receiving, picking, packing, shipping)
- Experience in integration with SAP modules like MM, SD
- Understanding of RF devices, barcode systems, and warehouse automation
- Familiarity with CIF, qRFC, and IDoc integration concepts
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field
- SAP EWM certification is a plus
- Experience with S/4HANA EWM (Embedded or Decentralized)
