Role Overview
The SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Functional Consultant – AMS is responsible for providing application support, incident resolution, and functional enhancements for warehouse management processes running on SAP EWM within SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP environments.
The consultant will work closely with business users, IT teams, and technical consultants to ensure smooth warehouse operations and continuous system improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support for SAP EWM issues in production and non-production environments.
- Monitor and resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets raised through ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to:
- Inbound and outbound processing
- Warehouse task and warehouse order management
- Picking, packing, and shipping
- Inventory management and stock discrepancies
- Physical inventory
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
- Configure and maintain EWM settings such as:
- Warehouse structure
- Storage types and bins
- Putaway and picking strategies
- Handling units and packaging specifications
- Support integration with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and PP.
