Key Responsibilities
Role Overview
An SAP Customer Service (CS) Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting the SAP CS module to manage customer service processes such as service orders, repairs, maintenance, and warranty management. The consultant works closely with business stakeholders to optimize service operations and ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure the SAP Customer Service module according to business requirements.
- Analyze business processes and translate them into SAP CS functional specifications.
- Configure service processes including service orders, service notifications, warranties, and contracts.
- Support service management activities such as installation, repairs, preventive maintenance, and field service operations.
- Integrate SAP CS with other SAP modules like SAP Sales and Distribution, SAP Materials Management, and SAP Plant Maintenance.
- Configure and support service contracts, billing, and warranty claim processing.
- Prepare functional specifications for technical developments and enhancements.
- Support testing activities such as unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide production support and issue resolution for SAP CS related incidents.
- Conduct end-user training and documentation for business teams.
- Participate in implementation, rollout, and upgrade projects.
Key Skills
- Strong experience in SAP CS configuration and support.
- Knowledge of service order management and service notifications.
- Experience with service contracts and warranty management.
- Understanding of integration with SD, MM, and PM modules.
- Knowledge of customer service processes and field service management.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA environment is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with functional specifications and testing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4–10+ years of experience in SAP Customer Service module.
- At least one end-to-end SAP implementation project in CS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Service Management.
- Knowledge of integration with CRM or Field Service solutions.
- Experience in warranty and service contract management.
