Job Title: SAP Consultant / Data Modeler
Experience Required: 7+ years
Location: Remote
Preferred Experience:
- 2+ years of SAP experience in Sales & Distribution and/or Supply Chain domain
Role Overview:
The SAP Consultant / Data Modeler is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining SAP data models to accelerate strategic decision-making in the RMDx business. This role involves selecting the most suitable data modeling approach for various use cases and evaluating overall model effectiveness to enable self-service reporting and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish reporting foundations by developing scalable data models for self-service reporting and accelerated insights
- Create source-to-destination data mapping for data engineers to build pipelines
- Collaborate with IT Functional Leads for design, validation, deployment, and ongoing support
- Build logical data models using SAP data and other sources for Power BI reporting
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, including root cause analysis
- Design and map technical specifications based on business requirements
- Communicate model structures effectively to data engineering and analytics teams
- Provide UAT and Hypercare support, including issue resolution
- Work closely with data engineering teams to maintain pipelines and ensure timely and reliable data delivery
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of technical experience with SAP
- Minimum 2 years of experience in SAP BI
- Strong SAP data modeling experience
- Experience with SAP BW and BW/4HANA
- Experience in SAP product consulting, systems integration, or architect roles
- Experience in SAP technical sizing & design, installation, upgrades, S/4HANA migration, and/or administration
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to understand and implement concepts from engineering through deployment and support
- Adaptability to changing priorities and ambiguous scenarios
- Strong business acumen with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
