SAP Commerce Cloud Developer – Job Description
Location: Pan India (Hybrid)
Shift: General
Experience: 10+ Years (6+ Years in SAP Hybris)
Role Description
The SAP Commerce Cloud Developer is responsible for designing, customizing, and maintaining e-commerce solutions on the SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) platform. This role focuses on building robust storefronts, developing extensions, integrating with backend systems, and ensuring performance, scalability, and security. The developer works closely with architects, UX designers, and business stakeholders to deliver seamless digital commerce experiences while adhering to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
Must‑Have Skills
SAP Commerce Cloud Expertise
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).
- Strong knowledge of core modules: Product Catalog, Order Management, Promotions, Checkout, and User Management.
- Proven experience customizing extensions, building OCC (Omni Commerce Connect) APIs, and integrating external systems.
Java & Spring Framework
- Proficiency in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot for backend development.
- Experience defining service layers, data models, and deployment pipelines.
Frontend Integration
- Ability to integrate SAP Commerce Cloud with modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or Spartacus).
- Experience with responsive design and accessibility standards.
API & Middleware Integration
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, SOAP, and ERP/CRM integrations (SAP S/4HANA, SAP CRM).
- Experience handling authentication, error handling, and data synchronization.
Performance & Security
- Knowledge of caching strategies, load balancing, and performance tuning.
- Experience applying security best practices (PCI compliance, OWASP).
Good‑to‑Have Skills
Cloud & DevOps
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Integration and microservices architecture.
Advanced Commerce Features
- Knowledge of personalization, search optimization (Solr), and advanced promotion engines.
- Experience with both B2B and B2C commerce scenarios.
Quality & Observability
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Selenium).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, SAP Cloud ALM).
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Clear communication and ability to collaborate in agile teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivery quality.
Education Qualifications
Must‑Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience delivering SAP Commerce Cloud solutions in production environments.
Good‑to‑Have
- Master’s degree (M.Tech, MCA, MBA with a tech focus).
- Certifications in SAP Commerce Cloud, Java, or cloud platforms.
- Advanced coursework in e-commerce architecture, performance engineering, or cloud-native development.
