SAP Business Systems Analyst – Transport Management & Logistics Execution (Semiconductor Industry)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Systems Analyst with strong expertise in SAP Transportation Management (TM) and Logistics Execution (LE) to support and enhance complex logistics operations within the semiconductor industry. This role will partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning, Warehouse, Finance, and external logistics providers to design, implement, and support scalable SAP solutions that meet the unique requirements of semiconductor manufacturing, including high‑value materials, tight delivery windows, global logistics, and compliance needs.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning, Warehouse Operations, Finance) and IT for SAP TM and LE processes
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows
- Lead workshops and design sessions to define As‑Is and To‑Be logistics and transportation processes
- Translate semiconductor business requirements into scalable SAP solutions
SAP TM & Logistics Execution Functional Ownership
- Configure and support SAP TM and LE processes, including:
- Inbound and outbound transportation planning
- Freight order and freight unit management
- Carrier selection, route optimization, and tendering
- Shipment processing, delivery, goods issue, and goods receipt
- Freight cost calculation, settlement, and charge management
- Support integration between SAP TM, LE, SD, MM, WM/EWM, and FI
- Handle high‑value, sensitive, and time‑critical semiconductor shipments
Semiconductor Industry Logistics Support
- Support logistics processes specific to semiconductor manufacturing, including:
- Wafer, die, and finished goods transportation
- Fab‑to‑fab, fab‑to‑assembly, and assembly‑to‑test logistics
- Cleanroom‑related handling requirements and traceability
- Lot‑level tracking and serialization where applicable
- Ensure logistics processes meet quality, compliance, and audit requirements
Integration & Interfaces
- Work with technical teams on integrations with:
- Third‑party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers
- External transportation systems, EDI, and IDocs
- Global trade, compliance, and customs processes (where applicable)
- Support interface monitoring, issue resolution, and enhancements
Testing, Support & Continuous Improvement
- Support full lifecycle activities including blueprint, realization, testing, UAT, and go‑live
- Perform root‑cause analysis and resolve TM/LE production issues
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, cost optimization, and automation
- Develop and maintain functional documentation, SOPs, and end‑user training materials
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 6+ years of SAP functional experience with SAP TM and Logistics Execution (LE)
- Hands‑on experience in the semiconductor industry or high‑tech manufacturing
- Strong understanding of semiconductor supply‑chain and logistics processes
- Experience supporting global logistics operations with multiple carriers and regions
SAP Skills
- SAP Transportation Management (TM)
- SAP Logistics Execution (LE)
- Integration with SD, MM, WM/EWM, and FI
- Experience with IDocs, EDI, and 3PL integrations
- Knowledge of S/4HANA logistics processes (preferred)
Business & Analytical Skills
- Strong ability to translate complex business needs into SAP functional solutions
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience working with cross‑functional and globally distributed teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
