Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Automation & Reliability Engineer with strong expertise in SAP Automation Pilot to design and implement automated operational workflows.
This role focuses on minimizing manual intervention through event-driven automation, scheduled runbooks, and auto-remediation—ensuring high system stability, reliability, and uptime across SAP BTP environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage automation runbooks using SAP Automation Pilot (e.g., service restarts, health checks, log collection, cache clearing)
- Integrate automation workflows with SAP Alert Notification Service for event-driven execution
- Develop scheduled and on-demand automation processes for routine SAP BTP operations
- Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Operations teams to identify and automate repetitive tasks
- Monitor automation performance, troubleshoot failures, and continuously improve runbook reliability
- Maintain clear documentation for workflows, triggers, and operational procedures
Must-Have Skills
- 4–5 years of experience in SAP BTP operations or cloud infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with SAP Automation Pilot (runbooks, commands, scheduling)
- Strong understanding of SAP BTP architecture and services
- Experience with REST APIs and SAP BTP service integrations
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and remote collaboration abilities
Good-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to SAP Cloud ALM or SAP monitoring tools
- Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript or similar)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Awareness of the SAP Build portfolio

This role is specifically focused on SAP Automation Pilot for BTP/DevOps operations and not on SAP Build Process Automation (SBPA) or RPA.
