Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP SOM (Subscription Order Management) Consultant with 8+ years of SAP experience, including strong expertise in data migration strategies, tools, and execution within SAP SOM / BRIM landscapes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end data migration activities, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead end-to-end data migration activities for SAP SOM implementations and rollouts

· Analyze legacy systems and define data migration strategy, approach, and architecture 

· Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) for SOM objects such as:

o Business Partners

o Subscription Contracts

o Master Data & Transactional Data

· Design and execute data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes

· Work with functional teams to understand SOM/BRIM data models and business rules 

· Develop and execute migration cycles (mock loads, dress rehearsals, cutover)

· Ensure data quality, integrity, and audit compliance throughout migration lifecycle

· Identify and resolve data-related issues and inconsistencies 

· Collaborate with technical teams on LSMW, BODS, Migration Cockpit, or custom tools 

· Support cutover planning and go-live activities 

· Prepare and maintain documentation, data migration runbooks, and reconciliation reports 

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 8+ years of SAP experience with at least 2–3 full lifecycle implementations 

· Strong experience in SAP SOM / BRIM (Subscription Order Management) 

· Hands-on expertise in data migration tools, such as:

o SAP Data Services (BODS)

o LSMW / Migration Cockpit

o Custom ETL tools

· Deep understanding of:

o SAP SOM data structures

o Subscription lifecycle and order management processes

· Strong SQL and data analysis skills

· Familiarity with S/4HANA environments 

· Knowledge of integration points with SAP CI, FICA, SD, and CRM 

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in SAP BRIM implementations (Convergent Charging, Convergent Invoicing)

· Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks 

· Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies 

· SAP certification in relevant modules (preferred)

Soft Skills

· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

· Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

· Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills

· Ability to handle tight deadlines and multiple priorities

Nice to Have

· Experience in FinTech (Financial Technology) domain, especially subscription-based or billing platforms

· Hands-on experience with SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management) components

· Experience in telecom, utilities, or subscription-based industries 

· Exposure to cloud-based SAP solutions 

· Basic ABAP debugging knowledge
