Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and organize a team of SAP BASIS engineers ensuring optimal 24x7 coverage and service delivery.
- Customer & Service Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers or Service Delivery Managers, managing service reviews, escalations, and ensuring adherence to SLAs.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with the Monitoring and Infrastructure workstreams to resolve complex issues and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Incident & Request Management: Oversee the lifecycle of Level 2 and Level 3 tickets, changes, and incidents within Jira, ensuring swift and high-quality resolution.
- Technical Oversight: Supervise SAP transports, upgrades, database management, and system refreshes, ensuring best practices are followed.
Profile
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration, with at least 1–2 years in a leading, coordinating, or supervisory role.
- Deep knowledge of SAP architecture, NetWeaver, HANA/Sybase/Oracle databases, and experience managing On-Premise, Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Hybrid environments.
- Tools: Proficient with Jira or similar ITIL-based ticketing tools.
- Management Skills: Proven ability to manage technical teams, handle customer-facing communications, and prioritize workloads under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and procedural discipline.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Team-oriented mindset with accountability.
- Proactive and responsive attitude.
- Ownership of assigned tasks and tickets.
- Strict adherence to processes and escalation rules.
