Job Title: SAP Basis Administrator
Industry: Heavy Machinery / Mining Equipment Manufacturing (Stone Crushing Machines)
Location: Hyderabad
Experience Required: 2–7 Years of experience in SAP Basis Administration, preferably in Manufacturing or Industrial Environments
Role Summary
The SAP Basis Administrator will be responsible for the administration, configuration, performance optimization, and maintenance of SAP systems. The role ensures high system availability, security, and smooth operation of SAP applications to support critical manufacturing and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and related components
- Monitor SAP system performance, tune databases, and manage background jobs
- Perform system upgrades, kernel patching, support pack implementation, and transport management
- Manage SAP security, user administration, authorization roles, and compliance requirements
- Handle backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for SAP landscapes
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to provide system support and issue resolution
- Troubleshoot SAP technical issues and provide effective solutions
- Maintain documentation related to SAP architecture, configurations, procedures, and system changes
- Ensure system health monitoring and proactive maintenance activities
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong expertise in SAP Basis Administration and system management
- Good knowledge of SAP HANA, ECC, S/4HANA, and associated SAP modules
- Experience working with Linux/Unix and Windows servers
- Hands-on experience in database administration and tuning for Oracle, SQL Server, and SAP HANA
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Manufacturing or Industrial environments
- Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager and monitoring tools
- Familiarity with cloud environments and SAP migration projects
- Understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts for SAP systems
