Summary: The SAP Basis Administrator will be a key member of our SAP BASIS team, responsible for handling BAU activities and managing a diverse SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of technical expertise in administering SAP systems hosted in AWS or Azure, management experience on Linux, and a strong understanding of SAP HANA and SAP ASE (Sybase). Experience with SAP BTP and SAP Datasphere is a plus.
Main Responsibilities:
- Handle BAU SAP Basis activities, including system copies, system monitoring (availability, performance, capacity), troubleshooting, configurations, and patching.
- Conduct system performance analysis and tuning, along with HA/DR setup and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues affecting SAP systems or Satellite Apps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SAP projects such as implementations, migrations, and upgrades.
- Perform system health checks and define/enforce SAP security and audit-related controls.
- Apply support packages, kernel upgrades, and security patches.
- Document technical procedures, system configurations, and best practices.
Key Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration.
- Proficient with SAP systems hosted in AWS or Azure.
- Experience managing SAP on Linux.
- Good understanding of SAP HANA and SAP ASE (Sybase).
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP.
- Familiarity with SAP Datasphere.
- Relevant SAP, Cloud and OS/DB courses, workshops, certifications.
- Awareness of the latest SAP technologies, tools, and best practices.
Other Details: The position is based in Pune, India. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
