Role: SAP ABAP Technical Consultant (ABAP/Fiori/UAM) – S/4HANA FI-AA Migration
Location: 100% remote in India
Shift timings: 12 pm to 8 pm
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Consultant with Fiori and User Access Management (UAM)/Authorisations experience to support a strategic SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. The consultant will be responsible for delivering technical developments, enhancements, integrations, and application support as part of the migration of the Fixed Assets solution into SAP S/4HANA.
Working closely with functional, security, and business teams, the consultant will ensure technical delivery, system integration, and business continuity throughout the implementation.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop and implement SAP ABAP technical solutions within SAP S/4HANA.
* Deliver enhancements, custom developments, interfaces, reports, forms, and technical objects.
* Perform debugging, issue resolution, transport management, and technical implementation activities.
* Support SAP Fiori application adaptations, extensions, and deployment where required.
* Assist with SAP User Access Management (UAM), including authorisations, roles, and security-related activities during implementation.
* Develop and support integrations between SAP and external applications.
* Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
* Participate in testing, defect resolution, cutover, and go-live activities.
* Ensure developments comply with SAP best practices, coding standards, and governance.
Project Scope
As part of a major ERP transformation programme, an existing legacy Fixed Assets application will be decommissioned and its functionality migrated into SAP S/4HANA.
The programme will:
* Migrate legacy Fixed Assets functionality into SAP S/4HANA (FI-AA).
* Migrate all relevant Fixed Assets data into SAP FI-AA.
* Reuse existing FI-AA enhancements where appropriate.
* Maintain business continuity across multiple manufacturing and operational sites, ensuring uninterrupted asset tracking and reporting.
* Deliver the solution as part of an SAP S/4HANA upgrade programme, with go-live aligned to the overall project roadmap.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong SAP ABAP development experience within SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
* Experience with SAP S/4HANA technical development, including enhancements, debugging, transports, and technical implementation.
* Experience developing or adapting SAP Fiori applications and supporting SAP Gateway/OData services.
* Knowledge of SAP authorisations and User Access Management (UAM), including role-based access and security concepts.
* Experience supporting SAP FI-AA or Finance-related technical developments is highly desirable.
* Experience working on SAP migration, carve-out, separation, or transformation programmes.
* Strong understanding of SAP integration and interface development.
* Experience working within Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
Preferred Experience
* Previous experience within manufacturing, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or other regulated industries supporting Finance or Fixed Assets transformation programmes.
* Experience on large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation or upgrade projects.
* Experience supporting ERP carve-outs, business separations, or large-scale transformation programmes would be advantageous.
