Role: SAP ABAP Consultant
Location: Pune (Onsite 5 days week)
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP programs including Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Conversions, Forms (RICEFW).
- Work on S/4HANA ABAP developments, including CDS views, AMDP, OData services, and performance-optimized coding. Support and enhance Automotive-specific SAP modules, such as: Vehicle Sales and Distribution (VSD), SAP Vehicle Management System (VMS), and Logistics Execution, MM, SD, and PP relevant to automotive scenarios
- Develop and support integrations with third-party systems using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, and EDI interfaces commonly used in automotive ecosystems. Implement user exits, BAdIs, enhancement frameworks, and implicit/explicit enhancements as per business needs.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand automotive business processes such as: Order-to-Cash (O2C)Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Vehicle configuration, production planning, and supply chain integrations
- Ensure adherence to Clean Core principles, SAP coding standards, and best practices.
- Provide support during UAT, cutover, and hypercare phases.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for automotive-related custom developments.
Required skills:
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong expertise in: ABAP OOReports, Enhancements, Forms (SmartForms / Adobe Forms)Interfaces (IDocs, ALE, RFC, Proxy, OData)
- Experience with S/4HANA projects or migrations is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of Automotive industry processes and solutions (OEMs, Tier-1/Tier-2 suppliers).
- Experience with SAP VMS / VSD or automotive-specific custom solutions is a strong plus.
- Understanding of integration landscapes typical to automotive customers (dealers, suppliers, external manufacturing systems).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
