Job Description
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP & BODS Data Migration Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Data Migration projects. The ideal candidate should have experience working on end-to-end migration activities using ABAP, LSMW, SAP BODS, and SAP S/4HANA Migration tools.
The candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be capable of interacting with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams across project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on SAP Data Migration activities for SAP ECC/S/4HANA implementations and rollouts.
- Develop and support ABAP objects related to data migration.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading activities.
- Handle migration using LSMW, BODS, LTMC, Migration Cockpit, BAPI, IDocs, and BDC.
- Create and optimize ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand migration requirements and mapping logic.
- Analyze source system data and ensure successful migration into SAP systems.
- Perform reconciliation and data validation activities post migration.
- Support testing cycles including unit testing, SIT, UAT, and mock loads.
- Prepare technical documentation and migration status reports.
- Participate in client discussions and provide technical solutions during migration activities.
Required Skills Technical Skills - Strong hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP
- Strong experience in SAP Data Migration
- Hands-on experience with:
- SAP BODS
- LSMW(Min 2 Projects)
- BAPI
- IDocs
- BDC
- LTMC / Migration Cockpit
- Experience in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments
- Good understanding of ETL processes and data mapping
- Experience in developing:
- Reports
- Interfaces
- Conversions
- Enhancements
- Forms
- Knowledge of SQL and database concepts
Preferred Skills
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration projects
- Exposure to SAP functional modules like MM, SD, FICO, PP, etc.
- Experience in large-scale rollout or implementation projects
- Knowledge of Agile methodology
Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and within teams
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
