Job Description
We are looking for experienced SAP S/4HANA CFIN Developers to support a strategic Central Finance implementation as part of the EPSILON project, focusing on company codes transitioning to CRANE. The role involves deep hands‑on development in SAP CFIN with a strong understanding of finance processes related to open item clearing, close cycles, and reconciliation, without activating CPAY functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze SAP Central Finance (CFIN) standard processes and identify technical options to clear open items without using CPAY.
- Design, develop, and enhance custom tools and reports to support:
- Open item clearing
- Reconciliation
- Period‑end and year‑end close activities
- Build and support a Proof of Concept (PoC) to demonstrate solutions to business stakeholders and gather detailed requirements.
- Work closely with CFIN functional consultants to translate business and finance requirements into technical solutions.
- Enhance or build interface logic between source ERPs and CFIN for seamless financial postings.
- Support the definition and automation of new financial close processes in CFIN.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining SoPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for both source systems and CFIN.
- Ensure high‑quality, scalable, and performance‑optimized custom developments.
- Provide support during testing phases (Unit, Integration, UAT) and defect resolution.
Required Skills & Experience
Must Have
- Strong hands‑on experience in SAP S/4HANA Central Finance (CFIN).
- Solid development expertise in:
- ABAP / ABAP on HANA
- Enhancements, User Exits, BADIs
- CDS Views (preferred)
- Practical experience with:
- FI open item management
- Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
- Reconciliation and close processes
- Experience working without CPAY activation in CFIN scenarios.
- Strong understanding of financial posting logic across source systems and Central Finance.
Good to Have
- Experience in multi‑system landscape (ECC / S/4 source systems feeding CFIN).
- Knowledge of SLT‑based data replication and finance reconciliation.
Exposure to CRANE or similar finance transformation programs
