Company Description GG Wastech Pvt. Ltd., founded in February 2021, is a fast-growing waste management start-up based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, with operations across India. The company focuses on sustainable waste disposal, circular economy solutions, and end-to-end logistics for diverse waste streams. Its services include supply of Alternative Fuel Resources (AFR), biomining of legacy waste, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) execution, and construction of sanitary landfills (SLFs) and leachate treatment plants (LTPs). Role Description The Sanitary Landfill Engineer will oversee the planning, design, and implementation of sanitary landfill facilities and related infrastructure at Wastech’s project sites. This full-time, on-site role is based in Raipur and involves conducting technical assessments, preparing engineering drawings and reports, and ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards. The engineer will coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to manage construction activities, monitor landfill operations, and implement best practices for waste containment, leachate management, and gas control. Daily responsibilities include site inspections, data collection and analysis, documentation of project progress, and troubleshooting operational issues. The role also requires contributing to process improvements, supporting biomining and other waste management projects, and providing technical input for proposals and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong civil/environmental engineering skills, including landfill design, slope stability, drainage systems, and geotechnical analysis.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of sanitary landfill operations, leachate and gas management, waste characterization, and environmental impact mitigation.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in technical documentation, report writing, engineering drawing review (e.g., CAD tools), and data analysis.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with relevant environmental regulations, standards, and guidelines related to solid waste management and pollution control.
- Candidates should possess project coordination skills, including stakeholder communication, contractor management, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline; a relevant postgraduate degree or specialization in solid waste management is an advantage.
- Prior experience in landfill projects, waste management facilities, or infrastructure construction is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
