Position Overview
As a Bartender at Marina Bar & Grill, you will create exceptional guest experiences by preparing and serving beverages with efficiency, personality, and professionalism. You’ll be responsible for mixing drinks to order, maintaining a clean and organized bar, supporting inventory management, and delivering friendly, attentive service that keeps guests coming back.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Take beverage and food orders from guests and service staff
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, draft beer, bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, bitters, syrups, and garnishes to create quality drinks
- Provide excellent guest service while maintaining speed and accuracy in a high-volume environment
- Collect payments and accurately process transactions
- Upsell premium liquors, featured cocktails, wine, and additional beverage offerings
- Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards
- Arrange bottles, glassware, and displays for an attractive and functional bar setup
- Slice, prep, and stock fruit garnishes and bar supplies
- Replenish bar snacks and maintain inventory levels throughout service
- Assist with ordering liquor, beer, wine, and bar supplies when needed
- Serve food items as requested by guests
- Ensure all alcohol service complies with Florida Beverage Laws and responsible serving practices
- Support team members and assist with additional duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Previous bartending, barback, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced service environments is a plus
Basic Required Skills
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Strong verbal communication and guest service skills required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Basic math and cash-handling skills preferred
Physical Requirements
- Most work tasks are performed primarily outdoors in the natural elements, including heat, humidity, sun, and varying weather conditions
- Must be able to stand and maintain well-paced mobility for extended periods, often 5+ hours at a time
- Frequent walking, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, stretching, and lifting required throughout each shift
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. as needed
- Ability to maneuver quickly between bar stations, guest tables, dock areas, and service locations
- Requires repetitive motions including grasping, writing, pouring, carrying trays, and operating bar equipment
- Continuous talking, hearing, and visual awareness required for guest interaction and safe operations
- Manual dexterity required to safely operate all necessary bar equipment and tools
