About the role

As the Principal of Pre-primary section of Samaritan Public School, your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning and development of the early childhood education. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of administrative, educational and managerial tasks, all focused on providing the best possible learning environment for young children. Key Result Areas (KRA's) Leadership and Management: Provide visionary leadership to the school, setting clear educational goals and objectives. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the school. Lead, motivate and mentor a team of teachers and support staff to promote a collaborative and effective work environment. Curriculum Development: Work with teachers to design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes holistic child development. Ensure that the curriculum aligns with educational standards and best practices. Parent and Community Engagement: Foster strong relationship with parents and guardians, maintain open and transparent communication channels, keep them informed about their child's progress, events and activities. Handle parent inquiries and concerns with empathy. Resolve conflicts and arguments between teachers and parents. Organize parent-teacher meetings, workshops and events to involve parents in their child's education. Engage with the local community to enhance the school's visibility and support. Student Welfare: Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to learn. Monitor and assess student progress, provide support and guidance as needed. Keep continuous evaluation report of each student and classroom observation. Implement strategies for behavior management and conflict resolution. Encourage student involvement in various activities that promote creativity, critical thinking and teamwork. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the school complies with all local, state and national regulations and licensing requirements. Maintain records and documentation related to accreditation and compliance. Human Resources: Conduct regular performance evaluations of teaching and non-teaching staff and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching methodologies and classroom management. Manage preliminary interview, demo class, induction and orientation of the new teachers. Conduct and participate teachers training. Others: Communicate with the competent authority regarding classroom issues, concerns, and needs. Also inform about absences, any changes in daily schedule and/or staffing. Weekly verification of attendance registers etc. Any other tasks assigned by the Founder or competent authority as and when required.
