Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head/Director of Engineering to lead, inspire, and scale our engineering team. In this role, you will set the technical direction, oversee project delivery, and collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
You will play a critical role in driving innovation, maintaining high standards of software development, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team while creating a culture of accountability, ownership, and innovation.
- Technical Strategy: Define and implement the overall technical vision, architecture, and roadmap in alignment with company goals.
- Execution: Oversee the delivery of high-quality software and infrastructure solutions on time and within budget.
- Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and Business teams to ensure alignment on priorities and customer needs.
- Scalability: Drive the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable systems to support the company’s growth.
- Process Optimization: Establish and optimize engineering processes and best practices to enhance productivity and quality.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key technical advisor to the executive leadership team, providing updates and recommendations on engineering initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and grow engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical background with hands-on experience in modern programming languages, frameworks, and system architectures.
- Strategic Vision: Demonstrated experience in setting technical direction and driving large-scale initiatives.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and at all organizational levels.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
