Oral Surgeon (DDS/DMD) – Part-Time to Full-Time Growth Opportunity
Location: Meridian, Idaho
Practice Type: New Oral Surgery Practice (Supported by SALT Dental Partners)
Opening Date: Targeting end of September 2026 (subject to construction timelines)
Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oral Surgeon to join a brand-new, state-of-the-art oral surgery practice opening in Meridian, ID in early fall 2026. This is a unique opportunity to help build a practice from the ground up with strong operational and clinical support from SALT Dental Partners.
The practice will benefit from a built-in, healthy referral base from established, high-performing pediatric dental offices in the area, including Idaho Kids Dentistry and Orthodontics and My Kid’s Dentist.
Schedule & Growth Plan
- Initial Commitment: 12 days per month
- Starting with approximately 2 clinical days + 1 marketing/referral development day per week
- Near-Term Growth: Transition quickly to 3 clinical days per week
- Long-Term Opportunity: Scale up to 4 days per week as patient volume grows

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
- Extractions (including impacted third molars)
- Dental implants and bone grafting
- Exposure and bonding procedures
- IV sedation and general anesthesia cases
- Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and obtain informed consent
- Collaborate with referring dentists to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in marketing and relationship-building efforts with referral partners (especially during initial ramp-up phase)
- Ensure compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
Qualifications & Requirements (Idaho)
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program
- Active or eligibility for Idaho dental license
- Active DEA registration
- Permit for administration of IV sedation/general anesthesia in Idaho (or ability to obtain)
- Board certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain)
- Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in practice growth and referral development
