Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Bettiah. The Salesperson will greet customers, understand their requirements, and guide them in selecting suitable jewelry pieces while maintaining a courteous and professional approach. Daily responsibilities include presenting and explaining product features, handling pricing and billing, managing displays, and ensuring the showroom is clean and well-organized. The role also involves maintaining accurate sales records, following standard procedures for handling cash and invoices, and supporting inventory checks. The Salesperson will work closely with the team to meet sales targets, respond to customer queries, handle after-sales support, and help build repeat business through thoughtful customer engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills, including active listening, clear communication, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Sales and negotiation abilities, with confidence in explaining product benefits and closing transactions responsibly.
- Basic numeracy and attention to detail for handling billing, cash management, and maintaining accurate sales records.
- Organization and reliability in managing product displays, assisting with inventory, and following store procedures.
- Willingness to learn about jewelry types, materials, and designs to advise customers effectively.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Prior retail or jewelry showroom experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Minimum high school education; higher education in business, commerce, or a related field is an advantage.
