Title: Salesforce Business Analyst – Sales Cloud (Quote to Revenue)
Job Overview
We are seeking a Salesforce Business Analyst with 5–8 years of experience to support digital transformation initiatives across the end-to-end Quote-to-Revenue (Q2R) lifecycle, including Opportunity Management, Quoting, Contracts, Orders, Provisioning, and Billing.
This role requires a strong business process orientation. The individual must clearly understand current-state (AS-IS) processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and effectively design and map scalable future-state (TO-BE) solutions within Salesforce Sales Cloud.
The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business objectives are translated into optimized system capabilities aligned with enterprise architecture, governance, compliance standards, and integrated enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Analysis, System Design & Transformation
- Conduct detailed discovery workshops to document current-state (AS-IS) processes across the Quote-to-Revenue lifecycle.
- Analyze process gaps, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and manual workarounds.
- Design and document future-state (TO-BE) processes aligned with Salesforce best practices and business strategy.
- Perform comprehensive map/gap analysis between business requirements and system capabilities.
- Identify and assess downstream impacts on invoicing, provisioning, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria.
- Support Data Migration activities including data mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Perform data map/gap analysis between legacy systems and Salesforce to ensure seamless transition.
- Collaborate with technical teams on ERP, Revenue Management Systems, provisioning, and billing integrations to ensure data integrity and alignment with defined business rules.
Salesforce Functional Support (Sales Cloud – Q2R)
- Support implementation and enhancements across:
- Opportunity Management
- Pricing, discounting, and approval workflows
- Bundling and quoting
- Contract lifecycle management
- Order management
- Provisioning workflows
- Billing and invoicing integrations
- Configure and support Salesforce components including workflows, approval processes, validation rules, custom objects, page layouts, and profiles.
- Ensure solutions adhere to platform design standards, governance guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Validate system functionality to ensure alignment with defined business processes and integration touchpoints.
Testing, Governance & Agile Execution
- Develop detailed test plans and test cases aligned to business requirements.
- Coordinate and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Participate in release planning, documentation, and deployment readiness activities.
- Work within Agile delivery teams to refine backlog items, prioritize features, and support sprint execution.
- Track and report project progress using Jira.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Support compliance with SDLC standards and SOX IT controls (where applicable).
- Coordinate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones, ensuring smooth communication, timely updates, and alignment on deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in Salesforce implementation and business process analysis.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end sales processes including Opportunity, Quoting, Pricing, Contracts, Orders, Provisioning, and Billing.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze current processes (AS-IS) and design optimized future-state (TO-BE) workflows.
- Experience with Revenue Management Systems, ERP integrations, and product business rules.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and system integration concepts.
- Experience supporting Data Migration and ETL processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to manage timelines, identify risks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to business leaders.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new Salesforce features and evolving business needs.
- Salesforce certification is a plus.
Key Competencies
- Strong Business Process orientation (AS-IS to TO-BE mapping expertise)
- Preferred working experience in ERP platforms such as Oracle E-Business Suite or SAP ERP supporting similar Quote-to-Cash / Order-to-Cash functions.
