Job Description – Salesforce FSL Developer
Role: Salesforce Field Service Lightning Developer
Experience: 5- 8 Yrs.
Work Location- Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Gurgaon.
Work Mode- Hybrid
NP- 0-30 Days Max.
Role Summary
An experienced Salesforce FSL Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce platform development and configuration. The candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, developing, integrating, and supporting Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) solutions to enable and optimise field operations.
The role requires strong technical capability across Apex, Lightning Components, Flows, integrations, and FSL configuration, along with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Customize and configure Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) solutions to support field service operations.
- Develop and configure key FSL components including:
- Service Territories
- Work Orders
- Scheduling Policies
- Service Resources
- Skills
- Dispatcher Console
- Develop Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, Aura, LWC, SOQL, SOSL, and Flows.
- Integrate Salesforce FSL with third-party applications and enterprise systems.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and translate requirements into scalable Salesforce/FSL solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, defects, integration failures, and performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure system security, data integrity, and adherence to Salesforce best practices.
- Support configuration, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support activities.
- Handle Salesforce deployments across environments using standard deployment tools and processes.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, testers, product owners, and integration teams.
- Maintain clear documentation for configuration, development, integrations, and deployment activities.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience on the Salesforce platform.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Field Service Lightning / Field Service.
- Strong understanding of FSL data model and operational concepts.
- Experience configuring Service Territories, Service Resources, Skills, Work Orders, Scheduling Policies, and Dispatcher Console.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Apex
- Visualforce
- Lightning Web Components
- Aura Components
- SOQL / SOSL
- Salesforce Flows
- Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems using APIs and middleware.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Good understanding of Salesforce security model, sharing rules, profiles, permission sets, and data access controls.
- Experience in Salesforce deployment and release management.
- Foundational understanding of Agentforce.
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
Preferred Skills
- Salesforce Field Service Lightning certification preferred.
- Salesforce Platform Developer certification is desirable.
- Experience in enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations.
- Experience working with integration platforms or middleware.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps, Git, or similar.
