About The Role
We are seeking a highly engaged and motivated Software Quality Engineer to join our dynamic application development team at Marriott Tech Accelerator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality Salesforce applications and integrations. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, both manual and automated, to validate functionality, performance, and data integrity across the Salesforce ecosystem. The Quality Engineer will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders within an Agile environment to uphold the highest standards of software quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that directly impact guest experiences and operational excellence.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Engineering, with at least 2 years focused specifically on Salesforce platform testing. A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is required. Certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Platform App Builder are highly preferred. The candidate should have hands-on experience testing Salesforce custom development (Apex, Lightning Web Components), declarative features, and integrations. Familiarity with test automation tools like Selenium and TOSCA, along with experience working within Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr, is essential. A strong understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and documentation standards is necessary. Knowledge of Salesforce data models, security configurations, and workflows will be advantageous. Additionally, experience in performance and load testing for Salesforce applications is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for Salesforce applications to ensure functionality, performance, and security standards are met.
- Validate Salesforce configurations, customizations (including Apex and Lightning Web Components), integrations, and data flows to ensure seamless operation.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test plans and cases.
- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery processes.
- Perform various testing types including functional, regression, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing across multiple Salesforce environments.
- Analyze test results, log defects, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues promptly, ensuring high-quality releases.
- Maintain adherence to testing best practices, quality metrics, and compliance standards to uphold organizational quality benchmarks.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement and timely delivery.
