Designation: Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud Intern

Internship Duration- 6 Months

Working hours- 11 AM to 8 PM

Location- Remote

About the role:

Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the configuration, customization, and optimization of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud applications. This internship provides hands-on experience with lead management, opportunity tracking, case management, and customer service automation while collaborating with sales and support teams.

Responsibilities:

Sales Cloud Configuration:

·       Assist in configuring Leads, Opportunities, Accounts, and Contacts with custom fields and page layouts

·       Build Sales Processes including stages, probabilities, and forecasting configurations

·       Create validation rules, formula fields, and roll-up summary fields for sales metrics

·       Configure Email Templates, Mail Merge, and Sales Path guidance for reps

·       Set up lead assignment rules, scoring models, and web-to-lead forms

Service Cloud Configuration:

·       Configure Case Management with custom case fields, record types, and business hours

·       Build Service Console apps with Lightning App Builder and utility components

·       Create entitlement processes, SLAs, and milestone tracking for support contracts

·       Configure Knowledge Articles, macros, and quick text for agent productivity

·       Set up Omni-Channel routing, presence configurations, and skills-based routing

Process Automation:

·       Design and build Flow Builder automations for lead conversion and case escalation

·       Configure Process Builder and Workflow Rules for sales/service notifications

·       Create approval processes for discount approvals and case escalations

·       Implement Einstein Opportunity/Auto-Response features under guidance

Collaboration:

·       Work with sales managers and service leads to gather and document requirements

·       Collaborate with senior admins on live client implementations and UAT testing

·       Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and sales/service operations meetings

·       Support end-user training and adoption through sandbox demonstrations

Testing and Validation:

·       Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for new configurations and automations

·       Validate data quality during migrations and permission set assignments

·       Test mobile layouts and Sales/Service Console performance across devices

·       Document test cases and results for production deployment validation

Reporting & Analytics:

·       Build Sales Cloud dashboards for pipeline, forecast accuracy, and win/loss analysis

·       Create Service Cloud reports for case aging, SLA compliance, and CSAT trends

·       Configure Einstein Analytics datasets and lenses for sales/service insights

·       Set up scheduled report subscriptions and dashboard refresh schedules

Documentation:

·       Document configurations, Flows, validation rules, and business processes

·       Create user guides, quick reference cards, and admin handbooks

·       Maintain configuration change logs and sandbox refresh procedures

·       Support creation of training materials for sales reps and service agents

Learning and Development:

·       Complete Trailhead badges (Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Admin Advanced)

·       Learn CPQ basics, Revenue Cloud concepts, and Field Service Lightning

·       Study sales enablement best practices and customer service optimization

Adherence to Best Practices:

·       Follow Salesforce security model (OWD, sharing rules, role hierarchy)

·       Maintain clean data with duplicate rules and matching rules

·       Use change sets, VS Code, and Salesforce CLI for deployments

·       Ensure configurations are scalable and governor limit compliant

Communication:

·       Present configuration demos during sales/service team reviews

·       Document progress in daily standups and project status reports

·       Participate in requirements workshops with business stakeholders

·       Support live go-live sessions and hypercare activities

Process:

·       Experience with sandbox management and production deployment validation

Qualifications:

·       Trailhead badges (Admin Intermediate, Sales Cloud Basics, Service Cloud Basics)

·       Understanding of Salesforce data model and security architecture

·       Basic knowledge of Flow Builder, Process Builder, and Lightning App Builder

·       Familiarity with Sales Cloud (Leads, Opportunities) and Service Cloud (Cases, Entitlements)

·       Strong analytical skills for report/dashboard creation

·       Excellent problem-solving abilities for business process automation

·       Clear communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

·       Available for 6-month internship with possibility of conversion
