Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Consumer Goods (CG Retail) Functional QA to join our team supporting large CPG clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Consumer Goods Cloud Retail Execution implementations by performing thorough functional and integration testing.
This role involves working closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders to validate retail execution processes, field sales mobility, and system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Design:
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand Retail Execution requirements including:
- Visit Planning & Execution
- Store Audits & Surveys
- Order Capture & Pricing
- Promotions Execution
- Claims & Settlement validation
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios aligned to CG retail business processes.
- Design test scripts for functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Test Execution:
- Execute test cases and document results for Consumer Goods Cloud retail applications and related integrations.
- Perform mobile testing (iOS and Android) for field sales/retail execution applications.
- Validate data flow between CG systems and integrated platforms such as ERP/DMS systems.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA/ADO and ensure timely closure.
- Perform regression testing to ensure enhancements do not impact existing retail functionalities.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in requirement walkthroughs, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Provide regular status updates, defect summaries, and testing progress reports.
- Support business users during UAT cycles.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date with Consumer Goods Cloud and Retail Execution enhancements.
- Suggest improvements in test coverage, test documentation, and QA processes.
- Contribute to building reusable test scenarios for retail workflows.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience:
- 1–4 years of QA experience with exposure to Consumer Goods / Retail Execution solutions (preferred).
- Experience in functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Understanding of Retail Execution lifecycle and field sales processes.
- Experience in mobile testing (iOS and Android).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ADO, etc.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of CG retail business processes (field sales, order capture, store audits).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud Certification (preferred)
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (added advantage)
