Role Details:
Position: SFCC Developer
Type: Contract (6 months, with possible extension)
Work Mode: Work from Office
Location: Guindy, Chennai
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Headless architecture)
- Implement and support headless commerce solutions using APIs (OCAPI, SCAPI)
- Develop and maintain integrations with OMS, ERP, payment gateways, and third-party systems
- Build and enhance REST-based services and middleware integrations
- Lead backend development for order lifecycle, promotions, catalog, pricing, and checkout flows
- Implement custom cartridges, controllers, hooks, and job frameworks
- Optimize performance across storefront and API layers
- Collaborate with frontend teams for headless storefront integrations
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide RCA
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, Architects, Integration)
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud
- Strong understanding of SFCC architecture, Business Manager, and order lifecycle
- Proven experience in headless commerce implementations
- Hands-on experience with OCAPI, SCAPI, and custom APIs
- Strong experience integrating third-party systems (OMS, ERP, payment gateways, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), ISML, controllers, and cartridge architecture
- Experience with REST APIs and middleware integrations
- Strong understanding of checkout customization and promotions engine
- Experience with CI/CD and Git
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
