Salesforce Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our Salesforce team. This role will be responsible for driving the strategic use of Salesforce and other enterprise applications to support business operations, improve efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing and IT to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements across our systems landscape.
This role is critical to the success of large-scale enterprise initiatives involving salesforce service cloud and sales cloud. The individual will leverage strong consulting skills, deep salesforce expertise, and business acumen to design and deliver complex, scalable solutions.
Job Description
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams for Salesforce and related enterprise applications.
- Lead requirement gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to clearly define business needs and objectives.
- Document As-Is and To-Be processes, workflows, and use cases to ensure alignment on current state, future vision, and transformation roadmap.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform gap analysis between business requirements and out-of-the-box Salesforce capabilities; recommend scalable, best-practice solutions.
- Lead solution analysis, design discussions, and implementation planning aligned with strategic business goals.
- Review, validate, and refine requirements through iterative stakeholder walkthroughs, prototypes, and proof of concepts.
- Assist in light Salesforce configurations to support solution delivery where applicable.
- Manage and prioritize backlog items including enhancements, defects, and project initiatives in alignment with business value.
- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement, automation, and system optimization.
- Collaborate closely with developers, administrators, QA, and integration teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Support QA efforts by assisting in creating test plans, developing and executing test scripts, validating results, and ensuring solutions meet documented requirements.
- Participate in UAT coordination, defect tracking, and resolution validation.
- Lead governance and status meetings to review progress, mitigate risks, and resolve cross-functional issues.
- Proactively communicate project updates, risks, dependencies, and timelines to stakeholders and leadership.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, or other core platform capabilities).
- Strong experience in documenting requirements, business processes, and solution design artifacts.
- Strong understanding of CRM processes, data models, integrations, and system architecture concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with backlog grooming and sprint ceremonies.
Preferred
- Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder, etc.).
- Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, capabilities, and platform limitations.
- Experience with integrations and middleware platforms.
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Salesforce Reports & Dashboards.
- Experience working with enterprise applications and cross-system integrations.
