Senior Manager – Salesforce Architecture
Location: Remote – United States
Shift Timing: 2:00 PM–11:00 PM
Department: Information Technology
Reporting To: VP of IT & CISO
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of Salesforce experience, including
architecture or lead solution design, with at least 2 years of team leadership
experience.

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Manager – Salesforce Architecture to own the architecture,
roadmap and delivery of our Salesforce platform while leading the team responsible for its
administration and development.
This hands-on leadership role will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service,
Finance and Operations to translate business strategy into a scalable platform roadmap.
The environment includes Salesforce CPQ for enterprise SaaS subscription pricing, Sales
Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud customer and partner portals, Agentforce and
custom development. Leading the migration to Revenue Cloud will be a key priority.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture and Strategic Leadership
• Lead the migration to Revenue Cloud, covering target-state revenue processes,
product and pricing models, data migration and phased implementation that
minimizes business disruption.
• Own the multi-year Salesforce roadmap, aligning investments and delivery priorities
with business objectives.
• Define architectural standards, design patterns and governance processes.
• Make build-versus-buy and build-versus-configure recommendations, including
evaluating AppExchange solutions and implementation partners.
• Own integration and data architecture, including integration patterns, middleware
strategy, master data management and data governance.
• Lead the integration of acquisitions and new business units into the Salesforce
platform, including assessment, migration, consolidation and data conversion.
• Review significant solution designs before development and maintain a prioritized
technical-debt backlog.
• Own release management and DevOps strategy, including source control,
environments, sandboxes and deployment pipelines.
• Assess Salesforce releases, retiring features and licensing changes, advising
leadership on costs, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with Information Security on platform security, access controls, audits and
compliance.
Team and Operational Leadership
• Lead, develop and retain a team of Salesforce administrators and external partners.
• Manage one-on-one meetings, goal setting, performance reviews and individual
development plans.
• Plan team capacity and communicate additional resource requirements as the
platform grows.
• Ensure reliable platform operations, including production incidents, integration
failures, scheduled jobs and Flow error monitoring.
• Manage the lifecycle of certificates, credentials and Connected Apps.
• Establish clear processes for intake, prioritization, estimation, documentation, peer
review and definition of done.
• Negotiate scope and delivery priorities with stakeholders across departments.
• Mentor team members through design reviews, technical guidance and
collaborative problem-solving.
• Manage implementation partners, contractors and Salesforce account and support
relationships.
• Communicate roadmap progress, risks and resource requirements to executive
stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or a
related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Salesforce platform experience, including architecture or
lead solution-design responsibilities.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team, managing direct reports or
performing similar leadership responsibilities.
• Experience integrating acquired companies or new business units into an existing
Salesforce instance.
• Hands-on expertise in Salesforce CPQ, including amendment and renewal logic,
subscription pricing and the quote-to-order data model.
• Hands-on experience with Revenue Cloud, including RLM / Revenue Cloud
Advanced.
• Proven experience architecting and administering complex Salesforce
environments with multiple integrations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively
with end users, technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect credentials, or demonstrated
progress toward these certifications.
• Experience leading the migration or replatforming of an existing quoting, pricing or
revenue-management system.
