Role:
The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for administering, maintaining, and enhancing the client's Salesforce environment to support day-to-day operations and strategic priorities. This covers user and licence management, system configuration, data quality, security, release support, training, and user assistance.
The consultant will act as a trusted advisor on Salesforce configuration, ensuring solutions align with the client's service model and Salesforce best practice, while identifying opportunities for continual improvement across processes and systems.
KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years' demonstrated experience in a Salesforce Administrator and/or Salesforce Developer role.
- Salesforce Administrator certification (mandatory), or ability to obtain within an agreed timeframe.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, information systems, business systems, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience providing Salesforce user support, system administration, and platform enhancement within a business environment.
KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform: configuration, workflows, automation, validation rules, profiles, permissions and data management.
- Ability to translate business needs into practical Salesforce solutions aligned with organizational requirements and best practice.
- Sound knowledge of system administration, data integrity, security and governance practices in a digital/business systems environment.
- Well-developed problem-solving, prioritization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing tasks and maintain attention to detail.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
- Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud, Service Cloud and/or Experience Cloud.
- Experience with integrated platforms/tools such as Twilio, Campaign Monitor, Conga and/or Raisely.
- Prior experience working in a not-for-profit, health, mental health or community services environment.
SOFT SKILLS — MANDATORY
As this is a direct client-facing engagement with an Australia-based customer, the following interpersonal and communication attributes are mandatory selection criteria, not optional preferences:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear documentation, guidance materials and training for non-technical users.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills — confident collaborating with both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
- Professional, client-ready demeanour with cultural alignment to Australian workplace norms and business communication style.
- Ability to work autonomously while remaining highly responsive and proactive in status reporting to both client stakeholders.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability and follow-through on commitments, including under competing priorities and tight timeframes.
- Collaborative, respectful, and adaptable working style, consistent with delivering into a values-driven, service-oriented client organization.
- Comfortable working in a remote-first, distributed team model with minimal supervision.
