Key Responsibilities
Conduct Training Sessions: Design and deliver skill-based trainings, product and process trainings, and application (App) trainings to sales team members. Ensure trainings are engaging, interactive, and tailored to meet the specific needs of the audience.
Training Needs Identification: Analyze and derive training needs for the sales team through assessments, feedback sessions, performance data reviews (using advanced Excel analysis), and collaboration with sales leaders. Develop targeted training plans to address skill gaps and improve overall team effectiveness.
Drive Digital Adoption: Lead initiatives to promote and ensure the adoption of digital tools, platforms, and technologies within the sales team. This includes training on new apps, software, and digital processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Manage Refresher Programs and Assessments: Organize and drive refresher trainings, monthly quizzes, and knowledge retention activities for the sales team. Track participation, evaluate outcomes, and implement improvements to maintain high levels of competency.
Content Design and Development: Create and design high-quality training content for induction programs (for new hires) and refresher programs using advanced PowerPoint presentations and supporting materials. Utilize multimedia tools, e-learning modules, interactive elements, and data-driven visuals (from Excel analysis) to make content accessible, professional, and effective.
Field Coaching and Travel: Provide on-the-ground field coaching to sales team members, including observation, feedback, and performance improvement guidance. Be willing to travel extensively across the entire country to support regional teams and conduct in-person sessions.
Innovation and Continuous Learning: Bring innovative approaches to training methodologies, incorporating emerging trends in sales training and adult learning principles. Stay updated with industry best practices and be eager to learn new tools, technologies, and strategies to enhance training delivery.
Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with sales teams in various markets to understand their challenges and align training efforts. Conduct training conference calls, virtual sessions, and webinars to reach distributed teams efficiently.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor's Degree / Master Degree
Experience: Minimum of 6 - 8 years in sales training, learning & development, or a similar role, preferably in a sales-driven organization (e.g., FMCG, Retail, Telecom, Tech sales, etc). Proven track record in designing and delivering training programs for sales teams.
Technical Skills:
Detailed hands-on expertise in MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis, dashboards, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros, etc.) and PowerPoint (advanced presentation design, animations, data visualization, custom templates, etc.) to perform in-depth analysis of sales performance data and create professional, impactful training content as per business needs.
Proficiency in digital tools, e-learning platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales-specific apps/software. Experience with content creation tools (e.g., Articulate, Canva) is a plus.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. Strong analytical skills for needs assessment, coupled with creativity and innovation in problem-solving. High adaptability, willingness to learn, and a collaborative mindset.
Travel and Flexibility: Must be open to frequent travel (up to 40-60% of the time) across India. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends for conference calls and field visits.
